Armour Transportation is looking for a LTL Operations Compliance Manager who will support the LTL operation and ensure compliance of processes within the operational network. This position demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, strong customer focus as well as a deep understanding transportation operations. This position reports to the Vice President of LTL & Terminal Operations and will be based out of Moncton, New-Brunswick or Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, execution, and oversight of an effective and comprehensive compliance monitoring and program
  • Assess and analyze the operational trends to identify emerging issues and correction requirements
  • Providing rapid, practical, business-oriented advice to applicable teams
  • Engage with terminal teams to review areas of non-compliance, in order to develop and implement plans to correct instances where non-compliance is occurring
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures of operational processes that support the compliance requirements
  • Educate, coach and develop terminal teams on the compliance requirements
  • Report on and review the progress and results of the compliance program regularly with senior leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related experience.
  • Proven experience in transportation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and technology.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is a significant advantage.
